To bill for emergency care from the request to the act claim on the Facturation.net platform
If you’re not on the on-call list, you can claim the emergency bonus if you’re called in to assist another specialist in an exceptional emergency situation.
Billing Instructions
To obtain the emergency increase when you are not registered on the on-call list, you must:
- use the element of context Soins d’urgence selon la règle 14 du PG (raccourci #SUG);
AND - Use the element of context Support en urgence pour une situation exceptionnelle (raccourci #SUS);
- enter the service start time;
- enter the date and time the call was received.
You can bill it from the act claim.
- Log in to the Facturation.net platform;
- In the vertical menu, click on “Create Act Claim”;
- Enter the patient’s information;
- Under “Line number”, enter the appropriate billing codes;
- Click on the line number to which you want to add a referring professional;
- Enter the required information, and then click “OK”;
- Call date is the date and time at which the specialist physician not on duty is called for assistance
- Call date is the date and time at which the specialist physician not on duty is called for assistance
- You can input different additional information for each of the lines.
You can bill it from the grid.
- Log in to the Facturation.net platform;
- In the vertical menu, click on “Create Grid (Act)”;
- Enter the doctor’s name and the start date, then click on “Create a New Grid”.
- Enter the patient’s information;
- Click on “v,” enter the billing codes to apply;
- Enter the required information, and then click “^”;
- Call date is the date and time at which the specialist physician not on duty is called for assistance
- Call date is the date and time at which the specialist physician not on duty is called for assistance
Radiology and nuclear medicine
To bill for emergency care from the request to the act claim on the Facturation.net platform
Specific conditions apply to medical imaging activities for physicians specializing in diagnostic radiology or nuclear medicine.
Billing Instructions
To qualify for the emergency increase, you must:
- use the element of context Soins d’urgence selon la règle 14 du PG (raccourci #SUG);
- enter the service start time (interpretation);
- Write down the date and time of the examination.
For the referring physician, you must indicate who requested the examination, specifying:
- professional number or first name, surname and profession.
You must also indicate who requested the emergency interpretation of this examination (even if it is the same professional), specifying:
- the type of referral from the referring professional the person who requested the emergency interpretation;
- professional number or first name, surname and profession;
- the date and time of the emergency interpretation reques.
You can bill it from the act claim.
- Log in to the Facturation.net platform;
- In the vertical menu, click on “Create Act Claim”;
- Enter the patient’s information;
- Under “Line number”, enter the appropriate billing codes;
- Click on the line number to which you want to add a referring professional;
- Enter the necessary information, then click “OK”;
- Second referring professional
- Date of the technical examination is the date and time when the examination was performed by the physician or technologist
- Emergency consultation request date is the date and time when the doctor received the request for an urgent interpretation
- You can input different additional information for each of the lines.
You can bill it from the grid.
- Log in to the Facturation.net platform;
- In the vertical menu, click on “Create Grid (Act)”;
- Enter the doctor’s name and the start date, then click on “Create a New Grid”.
- Enter the patient’s information;
- Click on “v,” enter the billing codes to apply;
- Enter the necessary information, then click “^”;
- First referring professional, then the second
- The date of the technical examination is the date and time when the examination was performed by the physician or technologist
- The emergency consultation request date is the date and time when the doctor received the request for an urgent interpretation
Note that the “Call Reception Date” field is for the context element #SUS (Support en urgence pour une situation exceptionnelle).
